  • USA: Why ‘Price Stability’ Is a Myth

USA: Why ‘Price Stability’ Is a Myth

Ever wonder why prices seem to zigzag everywhere—sometimes dropping on things like smartphones, but climbing for hotel rooms or college tuition? As a real estate team in Cobb County, we see this first-hand: when tech gets cheaper, it doesn’t mean everything else does too. The dollars you save in one spot often get funneled into experiences or investments that feel more limited—like those in-demand homes or event tickets you’ve had your eye on.

The truth is, there’s no such thing as perfect price stability. Countless choices and global trends shape what things cost, far beyond what any central bank can control. A steadier dollar might encourage more folks to invest in real estate, rather than chasing inflation hedges, but it would also make truly scarce things—like your dream home in a hot Atlanta neighborhood—even more valuable.

For us, changing prices aren’t just a challenge—they’re a sign of a growing, evolving market. If you have questions about how these shifts could impact your next move, our team’s always here to help you turn uncertainty into opportunity.

  • Why American Buyers Are Finally Getting Leverage

Why American Buyers Are Finally Getting Leverage

We’re seeing a real shift in the Atlanta metro real estate scene—buyers are finally gaining some leverage in negotiations. With the market moving away from those fierce, seller-dominated conditions, there’s less pressure to make quick decisions. Builders are stepping up with creative incentives, mortgage-rate buydowns, and price adjustments, all aimed at helping hesitant buyers feel more comfortable. Plus, with more homes available, you can actually take your time comparing properties instead of feeling rushed into an offer. Elevated mortgage rates are still a factor, so demand remains a bit cautious even as new opportunities open up. At Team Jackson Sells Atlanta, we’ve always believed that this process works best when you have space to weigh your options—no high-pressure tactics here, just honest advice and a team that’s in your corner for the long haul.

    Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day in the United States celebrates the contributions of workers everywhere, while also unofficially marking the final big summer weekend before fall takes over.
It’s known for backyard barbecues, road trips, and that classic tradition of buying things you didn’t know you needed because “it’s on sale.”
Beaches, parks, and grills reach peak activity as everyone tries to squeeze every last drop of summer fun out of the long weekend.
Happy Labor Day! Wishing you a fun, easygoing weekend filled with good vibes, great food, and absolutely no thoughts about Monday.

Metro Atlanta Achieves Sustainable, Balanced Population Growth

The Atlanta region added 53,690 residents, reaching over 5.3 million, but growth slowed from 1.2% to 1%. No counties lost population, with Fulton, Forsyth, and Henry counties growing the most. Slower growth is linked to a decline in home building permits and high housing costs, limiting domestic migration. Job growth also slowed, adding only 1,000 jobs. The regional commission will use these estimates to guide local planning and will soon release a Regional Housing Strategy.

  • Georgia’s Young-Buyer Mortgage Share, Ranked

    Georgia’s Young-Buyer Mortgage Share, Ranked

Georgia ranked No.39 nationwide, with adults under 35 making up ~18% of conventional mortgage applications during 2025, a smaller share than many states.
The state recorded 92.5K mortgage applications from Georgia applicants under 35 in the year studied, but those filings reflected demand activity, not completed purchases.
Georgia's typical home value was ~$334K in Early-Q2 2026, placing the state below several higher-cost markets even as younger applicant share remained modest.
The data covered conventional mortgage applications that were approved, denied, withdrawn, incomplete, or otherwise resolved, giving a broad view of under-35 borrowing activity.
Cash purchases were excluded, and the analysis grouped applicants under 25 with ages 25 to 34 using the most recent 2025 federal data.

  • Cities With the Most Expensive Homes in Georgia

Cities With the Most Expensive Homes in Georgia

Ever wondered how Georgia’s home values stack up? Across the state, prices range from $522K all the way to $4.3M+, and in the past five years, we’ve seen increases of 22% to 60%. Here in the Atlanta metro (our home turf!), and over in Brunswick, those numbers soar even higher. Savannah and Athens-Clarke are also seeing impressive growth, along with a few smaller cities you might not expect. As a team who lives and works in Cobb County every day, we keep a close eye on these trends because they shape the real-life decisions our clients make—whether it’s buying, selling, or simply planning for the future. If you’re curious about where your neighborhood stands or what these shifts could mean for your next move, that’s what we’re here for. Real estate is more than a transaction to us; it’s about helping you feel confident, wherever you call home.
